April is bringing us 2 Eclipses; a New Moon Eclipse and two weeks later a Full Moon Eclipse. Since they're just around the corner, March will start creating events that will lead us up to the Eclipse. This Eclipse fascinates me because it involves so many planets that enhance the story the Eclipse has to tell.

It is important that you understand that the New and Full Moons are inextricably tied into each other. The New Moon Eclipse starts a cycle that is ALMOST completed on the Next New Moon. I say, 'ALMOST' because the real closure occurs on the Full Moon when a change occurs that completely resolves the issue that the New Moon brought and begins the changes that will guide you on a different path. For example, let's say you find out that you need to have a cataract removed on the New Moon Eclipse, that happened 6 months ago. By the Full Moon, you have the surgery and must readjust to your new eyes for the next few months. During that time you tried different types of sun glasses, you learned how to care for your eyes in a different way. Now the Next New Moon Eclipse will be your follow-up to the doctor who gives you a clean bill of health and a BIG BILL, which you pay off by the Full Moon Eclipse that follows: Here's a fictionalized visual:

April 24, 2005: Bill is paid, the new job just promoted you...New Cycle begins.

The characters in the story are determined by the planets that surround the Sun and Moon at the time of the eclipse. The Sun and Moon are the protagonists and the transiting planets are the supporting cast. In this scenario on April 8, Venus, (love and money) and the north node (partnership issues) are within three degrees of the Eclipse and they become the integral issues involved in this drama. This play takes place in Aries, a sign of action, the pioneer, the aggressor or instigator. Where ever Aries falls in your chart will be the stage this Drama plays out on. Remember, the New Moon Eclipse is bringing closure to the issues that occurred from the last New Moon Eclipse on October 13, 2004. Below are some general guidelines to help you place the Eclipse in your chart. If it lands in your:

First house the stage is constantly changing and you face new challenges with every move you make. You may decide to take on a new look!

Second house your stage indicates the challenges ahead directly enhance your current values. You may finally feel brave enough to make that big purchase or even feel strong enough to be generous to those who seem less strong than you.

Third house your environment and communications become a major antagonist. You may find that you cannot hold your tongue and must speak up against injustices you see. You may also finally confront your neighbors barking dog!

Fourth house you may feel strong enough to confront your core issues. Is this what you really want?

The Fifth house You may find a new inspiration to your creativity or you may finally tackle the unfinished creative projects you have started. This eclipse can bring disturbances to the normal routine.

Sixth house this indicates changes in your everyday work or health. You may decide to change jobs or rearrange your schedule to accommodate your increased interests in other things. Perhaps it's time to try that new diet.

Seventh house you are likely to find your focus revolving around partnership and communing with the public. It's a great time to ask out someone you have been interested in or it may be time to tell your current partner the truth.

Eighth house You may be incorporating another person or other people involved with accommodating your financial needs. Sexual appetite my increase as well as the need for you to look at your fears more closely.

Ninth house the spiritual and philosophical motives may become apparent. Legal matters or education can also be the subject. And you may finally decide to take that trip you have been putting off!

Tenth House you can rest assured that it will have to do with your career or standing in the community or the many faces we reveal to the world. It may be time for you to do more that contemplate that new job!

Eleventh House If you’re looking for hope and need new goals to accomplish a dream then you might just find the courage to seek it under this moon!!

Twelfth House is hidden and offers many behind the scenes scenarios that may involve the past or dealing with institutions. Listen to your dreams over the next couple of weeks, they may have a lot to tell you!

The Eclipse insists on attention and whatever house is affected by Eclipse is where the major part of the drama plays out. Another point that is almost always missed is that the opposite house can also play a part in the play. So, if you are looking at a 4th house eclipse you must also consider the 10th house as being involved.

There are patterns to Eclipses, and the current pattern starts on the week of the Eclipse and completes itself on the Full Moon eclipse. This can be something that has been in the works for awhile or some current action you are taking. I bet this is something you have been trying to do for 2 years and now it becomes a reality. (Saturn's transit completes in the next 3 months.)

The first object is to see the area of life that this Eclipse will play out. Since this is an Eclipse in Aries, 19 degrees to be exact, your first determination will be where Aries in your natal chart.

The second object is to list the players. The Eclipse itself is the Sun and Moon conjunction in Aries. Consider them the dilemma. Any natal planets within 3 degrees will be supporting cast. This eclipse involves the transiting planets of Venus and North Node conjunct the Eclipse. These planets become supporting actors in this scenario. Venus of course is love and money so we know immediately that our values will play a major role while the north node introduces partnership issues to the story. Without any more information than that we start to tell a story. For instance, If Aries is in your natal first house this story starts off with personal movement for you. This can be something you have wanted to do or decided to do within the last 6 months. Venus tells us that this personal movement may cost money and concern a current partnership. The most important aspect to an eclipse is a conjunction or opposition; squares are important but not as decisional as conjunction. All of these conjunctions in your 1st natal house tells us how personal these matters are and how they change your future. Eclipses can be subtle if they happen on a spiritual or mental level. The Drama then plays out in your head.

The third object is to find out if you have any natal planets conjunct or in opposition to the eclipse? The story changes by adding another player or antagonist. This is the information I don’t know about, your personal natal planets. These planets will add dimension and color to your drama. If Mercury conjuncts or opposes communication can be intense, what if the natal planet was Mars? Ordinarily you would consider this change to be of a more aggressive nature. The scenarios are endless and Drama is real because it is happening to you. What Drama will be happening for you this April 8th?
