is the motivator of action. Mars teaches movement in consciousness and inspires you to new actions in life. The decision made on the spur of the moment to go to the ice cream shop for a double scoop of your favorite flavor came from Mars. It was also Mars that got you to make a final decision, after a year of thinking it over, to take that trip to the Himalayas. In childhood you sometimes experience Mars as impulsiveness to spend the allowance you saved for a year on fantastic toy that called to you from the store window one afternoon. It was Mars that made you think Mom wouldn't mind when you brought home that scruffy stray dog you found. When she said no, Mars motivated you to think up all those great reasons why he would be an asset to the family. In adulthood impulsiveness can still be attributed to Mars but it also motivates you toward resolve when you realize a mistake in your actions. Mars' job is to motivate you to take actions that will give you life experience. Without Mars there would be an absence of new action in your life. In nature, Mars is the flow of the rivers, the movement of the winds, the growth of the flowers, the movement of the oceans and the growth of the bones of a puppy. Mars motivates you to conquer the unknown, to take a risk, to move from the old to the new experiences. |
